The Master Innholders

Helping a leading hospitality organisation speak with one voice

Developing a communications strategy, brand architecture and visual identity.

The Challenge

Creating greater consistency across a growing organisation.

The Master Innholders is one of the UK’s leading professional organisations for hotel leaders, promoting excellence, professional development and best practice across the hospitality industry. As the Master Innholders evolved, new programmes, awards and initiatives had been introduced over time. While each served an important purpose, the organisation had developed inconsistent terminology, overlapping messages and an increasingly complex communications structure.

We began with a comprehensive communications review, working with the organisation to define what each initiative represented, establish clear language and simplify how the Master Innholders described themselves. The resulting One Voice strategy created a shared framework for messaging, positioning and future communications, helping the organisation speak more consistently to members, partners and the wider hospitality industry.

The Results

A stronger identity built around consistency.

With the communications strategy in place, we refreshed the Master Innholders’ visual identity to reflect the new structure. The existing logo was redrawn as a high-fidelity master brand and supported by a suite of sub-identities for the organisation’s programmes and initiatives.

The result was far more than a visual refresh. By establishing consistent naming, clearer definitions and a unified identity system, the Master Innholders gained a platform that made communications easier to understand, easier to manage and ready to support the organisation’s continued growth.

"Sally helped us refine the brief until the Master Innholders and its stakeholders were content with the final outcome. Thanks to B1 Creative's fresh approach and creativity, we arrived at an identity that reflects the various pillars of our organisation, both now and into the future."
